- DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

1) Adults: As donepezil hydrochloride, 5 mg should be administered once daily before bedtime. 5 mg of donepezil should be given for 4 to 6 weeks as the concentration of donepezil reaches a steady state after 15 days of administration and the frequency of adverse reactions may be affected by the rate of dose increase. The clinical response during this period can be evaluated and then increased to 10 mg. If the dose is increased to 10 mg / day, administer it while paying attention to digestive system abnormalities. The maximum dose of this drug is 10 mg. When this drug is discontinued, the effect is gradually reduced and there is no recoil effect due to sudden discontinuation of the drug.
This medicine can be taken with or without water (oral only).
2) Female patients over 85 years of age who are underweight: Careful monitoring is needed due to frequent abnormal responses. Low-weight elderly women should not take more than 5 mg / day.
3) Pediatric: There is no experience of pediatric use.
