Children and adults over 12 years:
The dose is adjusted according to the degree of pain and the response of the patient. 2 tablets are recommended as initial dose, and the intervals between doses should be at least 6 hours, but no more than 8 tablets per day. Do not take this drug for longer than necessary. If the long-term administration is necessary due to the nature and severity of the disease, regular monitoring should be performed to confirm the continued administration of this drug.

The safety and efficacy in children younger than 12 years old has not been established and is not recommended.

Normal adult dose should be administered. However, in the oral administration of tramadol to elderly people aged 75 years or older, the half-life of tramadol is increased by 17% and it should be administered 6 hours apart.
Patient with kidney failure
Patients with moderate renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance 10-30 ml / min) should be given at an extended dose interval of 12 hours. Administration is not recommended for patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <10 ml / min). Since tramadol is removed very slowly during hemodialysis and filtration, it is not necessary to re-administer this drug to maintain analgesic effect after dialysis.
A patient with hepatic failure
Patients with moderate hepatic insufficiency should be carefully considered for prolonging dosing intervals. Do not administer this drug to patients with severe hepatic insufficiency.
