1. Treatment of herpes zoster infection
Adults: As palmyclovir, take 250 mg three times a day for 7 days orally. It is desirable to start treatment as soon as symptoms develop after infection.
2. Treatment of first genital herpes infection
Adults: Take 250 mg three times a day for 5 days. It is desirable to start treatment as soon as symptoms develop after infection.
3. Treatment of acute recurrent genital herpes Infection
Adults: Take 125 mg twice a day for 5 days. It is advisable to start treatment immediately after the onset of symptoms or after the infection.
4. Inhibition of recurrent genital herpes
Adults: Take 250 mg twice a day for once a day. Treatment is discontinued periodically every 6 to 12 months to observe changes in disease course.
5. Renal Patients: In renal patients, creatinine clearance is decreased in patients with renal impairment, so care should be taken to control the dose.

4) If only serum creatinine is known, the creatinine clearance can be calculated using the following formula.

5) Patients with renal impairment who undergo hemodialysis
Hemodialysis patients should be administered every 48 hours considering the interval of dialysis. 4 hours of hemodialysis reduces the plasma concentration of this drug by about 75%, so this medicine should be taken immediately after dialysis. The recommended dose is 250 mg for patients with herpes zoster and 125 mg for patients with genital herpes.
6. Patients with hepatic impairment: No separate dose adjustment is necessary for patients with chronic liver disease. There is no adequate treatment experience for patients with obvious chronic non-target disease, so a clear recommended dose has not been established. "
