- DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

It is preferable to administer this medicine immediately after eating to increase the absorption rate.
1. Short-term administration
This drug shows continuous therapeutic effect in the skin tissue even after discontinuation. Thus, the final evaluation on clinical and mycological therapeutic effect should be conducted 2 to 4 weeks after the predetermined treatment is completed.
1) Candida vaginitis: 200 mg of Itraconazole is administered twice a day (morning and evening) for 1 day, or 200 mg once a day for 3 days.
2) Tinea versicolor: 200 mg once a day for 7 days.
3) Tinea corporis, tinea cruris: 100 mg once a day for 15 days.
4) Tinea manus (finger), tinea pedis (toe): 100 mg once a day for 15 days.
5) Tinea manus(palm), tinea pedis (soles): 100 mg once a day for 30 days or 200 mg twice a day for 7 days.
6) Oral Candidiasis: 100 mg once a day for 15 days.
7) Fungal keratitis: 200 mg once a day for 21 days.
2. Finger and toe mycosis
1) Cyclic therapy
200 mg twice a day for 1 week, then discontinuance of 3 weeks are considered as 1 cycle. In only nails are infected, it should be administered up to 2 cycles, whereas up to 3 cycles if infected in the toenail.
- Hands and toenail fungi (toenail with or without nail infection): 1,5,9 weeks (medication), 2,3,4,6,7,8 weeks (abstinence)
- Fingernails of fingernails and fingernails (nails): 1,5 weeks (medication), 2,3,4 weeks (abstinence)

2) Continuous therapy
200 mg once a day for 3 months. Even after the end of treatment, the effect lasts 3 months for fingernails and 6 months for the toenails.
3. Systemic fungal infection J50
Patients with impaired immune function, such as neutropenia, AIDS, or organ transplant patients, may experience a reduced oral bioavailability of the drug. If necessary, the dose should be doubled.
- Indication (aspergillosis): dose = 200 mg once a day: average treatment period = 2 to 5 months: increase to 200 mg twice a day for invasive or disseminated disease
- Indication (candidiasis): dose = 100 ~ 200mg once a day: average treatment period = 3 weeks ~ 7 months: increase to 200mg once a day for two cases of invasive or disseminated disease
- Indication (Cryptococcus meningitis): dose = 200mg twice a day: average treatment period = 2 months to 1 year: maintenance therapy: 200mg once a day
- Indication (paracoxidosis): dose = 100 mg once a day: average treatment period = 6 months

To increase the rate of absorption, this drug is not to be administered with meals.
Take this medicine in your mouth for about 20 seconds, letting the drug be in contact with entire mouth, then swallow it. After swallowing, do not rinse the mouth to allow the drug stay for a long time.
1. Oral and esophageal candidiasis: 200 mg (20 mL) per day divided into 1 or 2 doses for 1 week. If there is no effect after one week, take the drug for another week.
2. Fluconazole-Resistant Oral and Esophageal Candidiasis: Take 200 to 400 mg (20 to 40 mL) daily for 1 to 2 weeks. If it shows no effect after 2 weeks, take it for 2 more weeks. Do not use 400 mg / day for more than 14 days without any improvement in symptoms.
3. Prevention of fungal infections: Take 2 divided doses of 5 mg per kg of body weight per day. In clinical trials, prophylaxis was initiated immediately before chemotherapy and one week prior to bone marrow transplantation. Most of the patients with neutrophil count less than 100 / μL were found to have deep-seated fungal infection. Treatment was continued until neutrophil count was recovered (1,000 / μL). The pharmacokinetic values obtained in the clinical trials of neutropenic patients were significantly different among individuals. Therefore, monitoring of blood levels should be considered, especially for patients with gastrointestinal injuries, diarrhea, and long-term administration of this drug
